CRESWICK 1915
Shop Front Displays
An enormous effort was undertaken to decorate the town to commemorate the Centenary of ANZAC Day. Many of the local ladies have been busy knitting and crocheting poppies.
Thanks to all those who contributed - Museum volunteers, Visitor Information Centre volunteers, Creswick Probus Craft group, Walking Group and many other crafty ladies.
The hundred of poppies are displayed in several venues:- The Visitor Information Centre, the Museum and in some shop windows. Most of the shops and businesses in the main street have entered into the spirit of the occasion by decorating their windows with red, white and blue ribbons, Australian flags, posters and WWI memorabilia which have been supplied by the Creswick & District Historical Society, the Creswick Museum and private donations.
There will also be some artwork displayed around the town. Creswick made a huge effort which helped to make CRESWICK 1915 and ANZAC Day exceptional.
Several shops even put on their own static displays.
