Spirit of ANZAC Centenary Experience

The Spirit of ANZAC Centenary Experience was officially opened at 10am on Sunday 8 November 2015, at the Ballarat Exhibition Centre.  The Creswick-Smeaton RSL was represented by Phil Greenbank.

As the flagship community event of the ANZAC Centenary national programme, the Spirit of ANZAC Centenary Experience will be touring Australia over the next 18 months.

This once-in-a-lifetime event will be continuing its national tour in Ballarat from 8-14 November 2015

Visitors will be able to walk through recreated First World War environments, view genuine artifacts normally housed at the Australian War Memorial and contribute virtual messages of remembrance to the sailors, soldiers, airmen and nurses who served, including those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Spirit of ANZAC Centenary Experience features interactive technology and a narrated audio guide to enhance the knowledge of all Australians, and create a truly immerse way to commemorate the First World War and the ensuring century of service.

Members of the Creswick-Smeaton RSL were guests on Sunday afternoon.

Ode of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them
